Who writes this

I live in Japan and read the official Japanese sources that most English-language guides never touch. Every guide here shows what was checked, and when.

How these guides are made

Every guide on this site follows the same rules:

• We go there. Each guide carries the date we last visited the place it describes.
• We publish what we paid. Prices are the amounts actually charged, with the date they were checked.
• The photos are ours. No stock photography, no generated images.
• We say when something is not worth it. A recommendation you cannot disagree with is not a recommendation.

What we get wrong

Prices change, timetables change, and shops close. If something here is out of date, please tell us and we will correct it and update the page date.
